Kobe Drops 50 in Crosstown Win
Kobe Bryant topped his 48-point effort from a day ago by netting 50 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists in the Lakers' dramatic 112-109 victory over the Clippers on Saturday. Bryant's jumper with 11.4 seconds remaining put the Lakers ahead by one, as they held on to snap their three-game losing streak against the Clippers. Brian Cook chipped in 16 points, while Chris Mihm added 14 points and 10 boards for the Lakers, who face Indiana on Monday.

Jazz Work Overtime Beat Pistons Again
Andrei Kirilenko had a strong all-around game, scoring 24, grabbing 11 rebounds and handing out seven assists as the Jazz topped the Pistons for the second time this season, 94-90 in OT on Saturday. Mehmet Okur notched a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

The Jazz handed the Pistons their second home loss.

Jazz center Greg Ostertag, who had two rebounds, a block and a basket in overtime, goes over Detroit's Antonio McDyess.

Spurs' Win Streak Ends
The Spurs stayed with the Suns throughout Saturday in Phoenix, but fell short as their five-game winning streak was ended with a 91-86 loss. Tim Duncan had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Manu Ginobili added 19 points and six assists for San Antonio, which tries to extend an 11-game home winning streak Tuesday against red-hot New Jersey

Memphis' Motor Stalls in Chicago
Memphis came into Chicago and could not keep up with the Bulls' hot shooting in Saturday's 111-82 loss. Memphis shot just 39 percent from the field to Chicago's 62 percent. Antonio Burks scored a career-high 18 points and Pau Gasol added 15.

Jackson Leads Pacers To Rout of Kings

Clutch Carter Carries Nets to 10th Straight

Kidd's 22 points and 15 assists complimented Carter's late-game heroics on Sunday.

The Raptors hung tough with red-hot New Jersey Sunday, but Vince Carter drained a three just before the buzzer to give the Nets the 105-104 win at ACC.

Carter Gives Nets Longest Streak of NBA Season
Vince Carter nailed a huge 3-pointer with 0.1 ticks left Sunday to give New Jersey a thrilling 105-104 road victory over the Raptors. Carter scored 24 of his game-high 42 points in the fourth quarter, including eight in the final 25 seconds. He also grabbed ten rebounds. Lost in the shuffle was Jason Kidd's tremendous 22-point, 15-assist performance. The Nets did suffer a loss, however, as Richard Jefferson left the game with back spasms after playing only two minutes.



TORONTO (AP) - Toronto Raptors' forward Morris Peterson was ejected from Sunday's game against the New Jersey Nets after slapping former teammate Vince Carter in the face.

Peterson got a technical for arguing a no-call late in the first half. About a minute later, Carter playfully slapped his ex-teammate in the face. An annoyed Peterson then slapped Carter.
Official Steve Javie didn't see the Carter slap, but he saw Peterson's and ejected him.

Carter, who is friends with Peterson, went to Javie to argue the call but to no avail.

Carter played for the Raptors from 1998-99 until being traded to the Nets in December, 2004.
