Brand, Maggette Help Clippers Pay Back Cavs

Corey Maggette scored 24 on efficient 7-of-12 shooting.

The Clippers were able to pay back the Cavs for a loss earlier this week with a wire-to-wire 102-90 Saturday win in L.A. Elton Brand scored 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Corey Maggette added 24 points. Chris Kaman tallied 12 points and 19 boards for the Clippers, who made 52 percent from the floor and held Cleveland to 35 percent shooting.

The Kings fell to the Timberwolves 85-77 on Sunday night. Sacramento faced a 12-point hafltime deficit, scoring just 36 points in the first two periods, and could not recover. Mike Bibby led the Kings with 14 points. He also delivered five assists. Sacramento will look to rediscover its winning ways when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers visit ARCO Arena on Tuesday night.

Lakers Come Back, Nip Bobcats
The Lakers trailed by as many as 10 in the final quarter Sunday, but rallied for a dramatic 99-98 home win over the Bobcats. Kobe Bryant lifted L.A. to victory with two free throws with seven seconds left, and finished with 29 points. Chris Mihm added a season-high 21 with nine rebounds, and Lamar Odom tallied 10 rebounds and 11 assists with seven points.

Duncan Leads Spurs to Fourth Straight Win

Tony Parker was 7-for-11 from the floor Monday.

San Antonio shot 53.6 percent from the floor Monday night.
Spurs Secure Fourth Straight
The Spurs improved their road record to 7-2 and won 110-85 on Monday in Orlando. Tim Duncan led the way with 26 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks. Tony Parker scored 20 to go with seven assists and Robert Horry scored a season-high 18 points. Manu Ginobilli returned to the lineup and played 22 minutes after sitting out the last two games with a bruised right ankle. The Spurs host the Heat on Wednesday.

Nowitzki Shines in Windy City
The Mavericks kicked off a three-game road trip Monday with a 102-94 win in Chicago. Dirk Nowitzki topped 30 points for the second straight game with 35. Adrian Griffin contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds and Devin Harris ran the point efficiently, dishing out 10 assists to go with his 13 points. Dallas next plays at Indiana on Tuesday.

Chicago sported retro uniforms Monday.

Elton Brand scored a season-high 37 points Monday.

HEAT Fall to Clippers
Dwyane Wade's 29 points weren't enough as the HEAT took a 99-89 loss at the Clippers on Monday. Alonzo Mourning and Jason Williams each added 17 points, while Mourning grabbed 12 rebounds and Williams dished nine assists.

Elton Brand had a huge game with 37 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks Monday in the Clippers' 99-89 win over the visiting Heat. Sam Cassell contributed 18 points and 13 assists, and Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Los Angeles, which hosts the Knicks on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
