The Celtics twice pulled to within a basket with less than 30 seconds remaining, but could not tie the score on either occasion. The Nuggets lost Carmelo Anthony to a sprained left ankle two minutes into Monday's game and were unable to regroup, falling to the Nets 101-92. Kenyon Martin scored 26 points against his former team and Earl Boykins chipped in 24. Marcus Camby and Andre Miller both contributed 10 rebounds.

Iverson Gives Cheeks Win Over Blazers

Iverson added eight boards to his 38 points.

Iverson scored 23 in Tuesday's second half.

The Trail Blazers fell behind by 16 at halftime and couldn't recover in a 107-83 loss Tuesday at Philadelphia. Zach Randolph nearly had a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds. Darius Miles and Sebastian Telfair added 13 and 12 points, respectively. Portland wraps up its seven-game road trip Wednesday at Washington.

Mavs Bucked in Overtime
Jason Terry poured in 37 points Tuesday, but the Mavericks came up just short in a 113-111 OT loss at Dallas. Terry forced overtime with a basket in the final minute of regulation, but was blocked at the buzzer in overtime. Marquis Daniels scored 21 and Dirk Nowitzki added 18 points and 12 rebounds for Dallas, which was without Josh Howard (ankle) and Jerry Stackhouse (knee).

Maggette tallied season highs in both points and rebounds on Tuesday against the Wolves.

The Clippers ended their two-game losing skid on Tuesday with a 93-84 road victory over the Timberwolves. Corey Maggette and Elton Brand carried Los Angeles. Maggette scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Brand contributed 19 and 13. The Clippers will travel to Cleveland on Wednesday to take on LeBron James and the Cavs.
