Allen and the Sonics have won three straight.

The Kings came up just short in their quest for a third straight win Sunday,
losing 106-104 at Seattle. Peja Stojakovic and Mike Bibby scored 25 apiece for Sacramento, which led by as many as 13. Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Brad Miller added 16 points apiece.

Bonzi Wells turned in a solid all-around game with 18 points, 14 rebounds and five steals, while rookie Francisco Garcia scored 12.

Despite an electrifying 28 points from rookie Luther Head, the Houston Rockets fell to the Mavericks in Dallas Tuesday 102-93. Houston falls to 3-8 on the young season, while Dallas improves to 8-2. Tuesday marked Houston's seventh road game out of the last eight contests overall.

The Blazers built a 14-point first-half lead and withstood several runs from Damon Stoudamire and the Grizzlies in a 95-87 win Tuesday at Memphis. Juan Dixon provided a spark off the bench, scoring 16 of his 20 in the second half. Zach Randolph posted a double-double for Portland with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Darius Miles scored a team-high 22.

Miller and the Grizzlies host Houston on Friday.
