Sacramento led by as many as 22 in the contest and never trailed at any point. Peja Stojakovic scored 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists. Mike Bibby put in 17 points and Shareef Abdur-Rahim added 16 of his own.

The Lakers never led but remained close throughout in Friday's 97-91 loss to the Clippers. Kobe Bryant scored 36 points and Lamar Odom scored 18 with six rebounds and five assists against his former team.

The Clippers won the battle for Los Angeles as they never trailed in Friday's 97-91 victory over the host Lakers. Elton Brand scored 23 points to lead five players in double figures and added 14 rebounds. Sam Cassell celebrated his 36th birthday by pouring in 17 points, while Corey Maggette (21 points) and Cuttino Mobley (20) helped the Clippers build on their franchise-best start to a season.
